Portsmouth City Rifle Club

Welcome to the Portsmouth City Rifle Club website.

Portsmouth City Rifle Club is one of the Districts oldest gun clubs established in 1907 and is a non profit organization. We specialise in Small-bore and Air Rifle Target Shooting. Safety is our most vital concern. Members are required to display the ablility to use firearms safely and pass a probationary period of shooting under supervision.

We have two indoor ranges and can cater for many disciplines including prone, kneeling, standing and Bench-rest. There are also facilities for pistol shooters. If you are a new shooter then we can support you with coaching. For the more experienced shooter there are matches and competitions to take part in.

The club competes in various leagues, postal competitions and open meetings, these include the Bisley and Scottish meetings.

Mission

To provide, promote, organize and develop Small-bore rifle shooting to all members of the community to ensure they have equal opportunity to participate socially or at the highest competitive level. The club is recognized as a local body providing information, co-ordination, advice and sound management of the sport whilst promoting equity and good sportsmanship for all.

Portsmouth City Rifle Club is approved by Hampshire Constabulary.
