Portsmouth City Rifle & Pistol Club - Facilities

Portsmouth City Rifle & Pistol Club provide affordable shooting and facilities for the local community. Below is a list of the facilities available to our members. The club operates on a self help basis and a lot of the facilities have been built and maintained by our members.

Our ranges are equipped with heating in the winter to stop the chill from affecting your aim. We maintain good cleanliness and cleaning is carried out once a week to make a more pleasant and healthy shooting experience. The club has various equipment available to shooters free of charge.

Mike Ford Range

The Mike Ford Range can cater for three positional .22 caliber shooting as well as Air pistol shooting. This range has pistol traps at 10 meters with electronic target changers. Club equipment is available for you to use on this range. This range is equipped with CCTV and images are recorded.

Bottle Store Range
The Bottle Store Range can cater for prone and bench rest .22 caliber shooting. This range has 4 firing points fully equipped with soft carpet and carpet top bench rest. There are 2 viewing windows behind the firing points for spectators. This range is a very good place to teach your young how to shoot and teach them the values of proper firearms safety. Club equipment is available for you to use on this range. This range is equipped with CCTV and images are recorded.

Parking

The Club does not have parking on the premises however there are car parking spaces available around the facility - located right behind our building you can park on the road free or charge but limited to 2 hours parking. You can also park on the main road, a 1 - 2 minute walk from the club, there is no time limit here although during the day there may be a small charge for parking but free in the evenings after 6pm.
